Sent a card, a tea bag and a loaf made in my breadmaker to a friend who moved into a new home last week...with this poem:
Before you start unpacking
and putting things away
and worrying about the mortgage
that you're about to pay -
Sit down and put your feet up,
you've got the weekend free,
you can start on all those boxes
when you've had a cuppa tea.
Don't bother about the instruction book
on how to use the hob,
make it easy on yourself tonight -
you don't need to turn a knob.
Send hubby to the chippy,
cut the home-made bread
and make Lancashire style chip butties
and have an easy tea instead!
