Those who attended the unveiling of the statue in Liverpool in 2003 may remember how proud Russ Dee was that he would be attending the passing-out ceremony for his son Martin as a Royal Marine.

Unfortunately, Martin has been the victim of a bombing in Afghanistan, losing an eye and sustaining a fractured cheekbone.  However, he is now home.
